I had to read this book for summer reading, which to any kid is not the best time of the summer to find out that you have to work. But as it turned out all the books this year that I had to read were all very smooth. But this book had stand out among the others, not because it was the longest one but because of the story it tells. Bessie and Sadie were so strong in all of their stories. It is very inspiring, and i am glad that ended up reading this book. Thanks Mrs. Harry for the APUSH summer reading.

A quote from one of the sisters that I saw on MySpace led me to find out more about them. I sincerely wish I could obtain a DVD or VHS copy of the movie for my Mother (65) and Grandmother (81) in Virginia.

I have read "Everyday wisdom" and am waiting for the others to arrive. What a wonderful read, and what awesome human beings these two ladies were!! We should all be so lucky and proud.

I have had a lot of fond memories of growing up in the last century. I havent had the experience as the Delaney sister's, but hopefully I will experience just as much as they did. To me those are my heroes, other than my grandmother and mother.

I was 15 when this past century ended, but it was and the present one has been filled with some of the same experiences The Delaney sisters witnessed then. I saw the play in Houston when I was very young and enjoyed it very much.

THIS STORY HAS REMINDED ME OF MY GRANDMOTHER AND ALL OF THINGS SHE USE TO TALK WITH US ABOUT WHEN I WAS A CHILD. THESE TWO BEAUTIFUL EXTRAORDINARY WOMEN HAVE TOUCH MY HEART. AS I TELL MY CHILDREN STORIES OF OUR FAMILY I PRAY THAT THEY TO CAN LEARN AND GROW FROM OUR RICH AMERICAN HISTORY. EDUCATION IS THE KEY! I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK THE FAMILY OF THE DELANY SISTERS FOR SHARING THEIR FAMILY WITH OURS. YOU CAN JUST FEEL THE LOVE IN THIS FAMILY. CHERYL

Growing up in the last century has taught me that life in the past was not fair and that this is the time for change.
