A friend of mine loaned me "Having Our Say" and I absolutly loved it. These sisters were amazing. I just fell in love with them and their family.

I simply loved the Delany sisters' story. It is a story to be shared with generations of family members during special gatherings as well as topics for mentoring programs for girls. The memory I love best about growing up in the last century, is that I never realized we were actually poor until I was grown. All of our needs were being met and most of our wants and we have the love and discipline of a caring mother and grandmother who were Christ-centered.

i really enjoyed the movie that was made about them. they were strong black women and their whole family were strong black people. their mother and father were also made out to be very good people and for that i feel so honored to be a colored person. rest in peace to all of the delany family
